Monitoring & Evaluation for International Development

Increasingly, countries that receive international aid are developing evaluation capabilities, encouraged by donor organizations such as the World Bank and USAID to add an accountability component to their funding process. This new trend in international evaluation, known as monitoring and evaluation (M&E), has created a need for expert policy guidance and technical assistance for education and training. CD&A can offer critical technical expertise in evaluation tools and methods to organizations and government programs in parts of the world where program evaluation is still in its infancy.  Our experience with international development as well as program evaluation provides insight into the challenges of evaluating these programs.

  • US Department of Agriculture – Provision of training to employees in the Center for Agriculture & Rural Development in Armenia to monitor and evaluate poverty reduction programs and economic development, in partnership with the University of Georgia's Office of Global Programs.
  • US Agency for International Development – Evaluation of a UGA Office of International Agriculture initiative that helps Honduran farmers combat crop diseases by employing digital diagnostic technology.
